Frank Ikerd, CPO

ABC Certified Prosthetist/Orthotist

Frank graduated from Baker University in 1990 with a bachelor's degree in Biology.  He completed the prosthetics technician program in 1991 at Northeast Metro Technical College in White Bear Lake, Minnesota.  He completed the Orthotics program in 1992 and the Prosthetics program in 1993 at the Northwestern University Prosthetics and Orthotics Center in Chicago, Illinois.  After graduation, Frank completed a prosthetics residency in St. Louis, Missouri and an orthotics residency in Rancho Mirage, California. 

Frank began practicing in Joplin, Missouri in 1995 and opened his own practice, Advanced Orthotics, and Prosthetics, in 2001.  He has been an adjunct instructor, teaching courses on orthotics and prosthetics, for both physical therapy and physical therapy assistant programs.  He was also an adjunct instructor for TEC Interfaces Systems, the developer of elevated vacuum sockets.  In this position, he assisted in teaching the Harmony elevated vacuum certification courses for prosthetists across the country.   

Martin Bailey, CPO

ABC Certified Prosthetist/Orthotist

Martin Bailey is certified in both Prosthetics and Orthotics though the American Board of Certification.  He earned his Bachelor’s degree at the University of Texas Southwestern School of Allied Health in Dallas.  Martin worked at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children for eight years prior to moving to Joplin in 2011.  He has extensive experience with both pediatric and adult patients.  Martin enjoys the challenge of designing and fitting custom-made devices and helping people regain an active life.  He also enjoys community volunteer work in the Joplin area with his fellow Missouri Master Naturalists. 

Ryan Barrett, BOCPO, C.Ped

BOC Prosthetist/Orthotist, ABC Pedorthist

Ryan is an ABC certified Pedorthist and a BOC certified Prosthetist/Orthotist.  He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Emporia State University with a degree in Biology.  Ryan began his career in orthotics and prosthetics by working as a technician and transitioned into patient care.  Ryan became certified as a Pedorthist in 2012.  He later became certified as an Orthotist in 2015 and as a Prosthetist in 2016.  Ryan is married and has two daughters.  He enjoys sports, fishing, kayaking, and camping with his family.
